Today (9/27/17) got a reply from MacPaw about this app. Hopefully they can fix this bug, because without scrolling, this is a worthless piece of manure. They must have bought it from the previous owner. The product isn’t listed on their website, however. Tried to report that under 10.13 (High Sierra) scrolling between images is broken.

For example, I assigned the keys 1 through 5 to move the current image to one of 5 different destinations, so it is easy to zip through and sort a bunch of images into good/better/best/reject, for example, or into “bride”/“groom”/“other”, etc., with a single keystroke. So I’ve got my whole keyboard mapped out for quick scanning, zooming, sorting, and even some rudimentary editing (just rotating, flipping, and cropping). I love the fact that almost all of the many commands in the system are assignable to keyboard keys via a very easy to use Preferences->Keyboard screen. It has a pretty sophisticated copy/move system where you can dynamically specify up to 10 destination folders and then move or copy each image into one of those destinations with a keystroke. I shoot and sort a lot of images and Xee has some key features that really help me. I’ve used several other image viewing programs, both paid and unpaid, but this is my favorite. I’m using the latest version, which at the moment is 3.5.3, and many of the complaints I’ve read in these reviews apparently apply to previous versions because they don’t apply to the version I have. I rarely write reviews but I feel compelled to because I love this program and I don’t think the ratings here reflect how good it is. There are just times where, if working with a big folder of large photos, you may still have to wait a second (probably less) for an image to show up) Don’t need the to be persistent after closing the app, I just want them for my working session. (Bonus points for generating those thumbnails for the current folder in some sort of background process.
Having said that, I’d love to have a secondary thumbnail view (resizable) that I could use to quickly scroll past stuff I don’t need to deal with immediately. Yes, as others have mentioned the UI feels a little dated when you have to go into menus but once you’re rolling you rarely have to do that. Protip - assign the U key to be undo while you’re at it, because when you’re really flying you’ll occasionally move stuff into the wrong folder.
